Pick your city. We list every currency exchange storefront there that appears in the public FINTRAC registry, plus the banks and online services that serve it.
Every provider is scored out of 100 on six factors: BBB record, FINTRAC registration, rate against the Bank of Canada daily rate, Canadian head office, Google reviews and years in business. The full method is on every page.
We phone every listed storefront on the same day and publish the USD markup with the date. Rates move daily, so confirm before you exchange.
We only list businesses that appear in the public FINTRAC money services business registry and that we have confirmed are open. Closed shops, payday lenders and Bitcoin ATMs that pad other lists do not appear here.
We start with the cities where the most people exchange money and where the FINTRAC registry lists enough storefronts to compare. A city goes live only after every storefront there has been checked against the registry and phoned for a same day rate.
We add cities one at a time so that every page is checked the same way before it goes live. If your city shows Coming soon, those checks are not finished. Until then, the online bank to bank services on the homepage may serve your city.
Use the report an error page and include the business name, address and what has changed. We check every report against the FINTRAC registry and by phone before we update a city page.
